Dialogue with the Hand
I mean no offense, but did you know
that you are a very badly drawn hand?
Badly drawn? I am a perfect likeness
of the hand that drew me!
What? You mean to say--
No, no, I'm joking.
I'm terribly drawn.
But I give good advice.
And what advice is that?
Don't let anyone tell you
to go home, life is outside.
Well, that is quite good.
Thank you.
De rien. And I have more.
Do not confuse the finger
that points at the moon
with the moon itself.
You stole that from the Buddha.
Or from one of his followers.
I don't think he actually said it.
When one steals,
take from the best,
is that not right?
You make me laugh,
Mr. Badly Drawn Hand
